The nearest airport of Alappuzha is the Cochin International Airport about 78 km away. One can avail taxi or bus services to get to Alappuzha.

Being a prime tourist destination there are trains to Alleppey from all the major cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi. Taking the trains could provide one with a scenic coastal journey.

The best time to visit Alleppey would be in the months from October to March. Because the weather then will be mild and pleasant.

>You can travel in autorickshaws for shorter distances but make sure to set your fares before getting in.

>Ayurvedic massages can be painful. Also, make sure you are going to licensed practitioners or establishments for the same.
