BUTTERMILK: DRINK FOR SUMMER
It’s almost onset of summer and when we think of summer, we always look forward to the best drink for summer which is buttermilk. There are a few things which we keep ready to protect our family and ourselves from the scorching heat, tan, sunstroke, disease, etc.
Many people find summer, the worst season, but friends let’s recall our childhood days and it’s the best time ever when we have created long-lasting memories.
These memories could be of food, places, games, talks, friends, grandparent’s place or vacations. You can still remember my grandparents and parents pushing me to drink a lot of liquids like coconut water, seasonal fruit juices, etc.
The traditional way of preparing buttermilk is from liquid left after churning butter out of cream, which is very low fat. It is prepared using the traditional method is the rich source of protein additional vitamins and minerals, including calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and sodium.
Whereas, ready to drink or tetra packed buttermilk.which is also called as Cultured Buttermilk is prepared by intentional acidification of skimmed milk or low-fat milk and with the help of selected bacterial strains in reactors of big size facilities.
