It is seen nowadays that schools give holiday project work to students of primary schools which in turn makes parents sweat it out and ultimately land up in parents doing the project during the last days and children just supporting.

One must understand that the project given to students are devised to check their ability and in some case may seem very difficult for the children but if guided properly the children can really be involved in making the project all by themselves and in turn makes the student proud to have accomplished something.

Following points done by parents can be beneficial in this direction :

1. Read and understand the project.

2. Segregate the full project into parts so that each such part can be completed during the holidays and there should not be any rush to complete the project in one or few sittings.

3. The project may require items to be purchased or collected. Make such a list and again segregate it into places from where these can be sourced.

4. Try to have all things required in project ready before your child actually start working on it.

5. Give your child one by one the segregated part and let him complete it in his / her own time. Obviously your guidance on how to do it would be very essential.

6. With different parts of the project being completed one by one the project can be spread over weekly schedule and will not make it a monotonous work for student and parent alike.
